The Descendant of the Nigerian Royalty has made his ancestors proud again by defeating Kevin Owens and retaining his Intercontinental Championship last night on SmackDown.
Apollo Crews met with Adam Pearce at the early moments SmackDown kicked off and condemed his Title defense scheduled to hold later on SmackDown. Apollo said Big E does not deserve a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship because he defeated him in a clean match at WrestleMania. Adam Pearce then replied him by revealing his opponent on SmackDown which was Kevin Owens.
The Intercontinental Championship match between Apollo and Kelvin Owens kicked off with huge momentum and Commander Azeez watched from the ringside. The match got more intensed and Kelvin Owens brought up a huge fight against Apollo but the match ended with Apollo standing talk as the winner and retaining his tittle with an assist from Commander Azeez.
