This year’s WrestleMania kicked off live at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida in the front of 25,675 WWE fans. On the first Night of WrestleMania legacies were disrupted, histories were made and Championship changed hands.
The following are the announced matches for the Night 1 of WrestleMania:
- Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew MycIntyre for the WWE Championship which will kicked off the WrestleMania matches.
- Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Main Event.
- Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs The Miz & John Morrison
- The New Day (c) vs. AJ Styles & Omos for the Raw Tag Team Championship
- Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins
- Brawn Strowman vs. Shane McMahon
- Tag Team Tumoil Match: Noami & Lana vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs. The Riot Squad vs. Natalya & Tamina vs. Carmella & Billie Kay.
Titus Oniel and Hulk Holgan Host the Night 1 of WrestleMania.
Tistus Oniel and Hulk Holgan welcomed the WWE audience to WrestleMania and chants “It has been exactly 1 year, 1month and 1 day that WWE host WrestleMania in the front of the WWE audience. Titus and Hulk Hogan announced the matches for tonight events before they left the arena.
WWE Championship match: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Drew MycIntyre
The match begins and Lashley hits MycIntyre with a shoulder attack. MycIntyre fell and rose up immediately. MycIntre connected Lashley with a belly-to-belly suplex and the brawl continues. MycIntre shoved Lashley out of the ring and went out to get him. Lashley took control of the match outside the ring and drived MycIntyre through the barricades. Lashley dragged MycIntyre into the ring and hit him with a backbreaker.
Lashley made a shoulder force into the steel post when he wanted to hit MycIntyre with a spear at the ring corner. MycIntre tried to connect him with his summission move but Lashley repelled. MycIntre fired up & started fighting back. He hit Lashley with a massive clothesline and back-breaker and the WWE audience chants. MycIntre hits Lashley with a German Suplex and covered him for 2 counts. Lashley recovered and delivered a faceforce to MycIntyre then covered him for 2 counts.
The match continues and Lashley tried to hold MycIntyre with the Hurt Lock but MycIntyre repelled it. MycIntre hits Lashley with a German Suplex and 3 DDTs then covered him but Lashley kicked out of 2 counts. MycIntre tried to deliver the Claymore kick but Lashley quickly noticed it and rolled out of the ring.
MycIntre delivered a high dive to MVP and Lashley outside the ring and draged Lashley into the ring thereafter. Lashley ignited inside the ring and held MycIntyre with the Hurt Lock but MycIntyre broke it. The brawl continues untill Lashley finally held MycIntyre with the Hurt Lock again until he passes out.
Lashley defeats Drew MycIntyre via summission to retain the WWE Championship.
Tag Team Tumoil Match
Camella & Billie Kay vs. Naomi & Lana
Naomi and Carmella begins the match and Naomi quickly took her out then tagged Lana into the ring. Carmella overpowered Lana and tagged Billie into the match. Lana hit Billie with a backbreaker and Naomi made a tag. Lana & Naomi continued to dish out painful punishment to Billie.
The match continues until Carmella turned the match around and made Billie to successfully pinned Lana for the 3 counts to get them eliminated.
Carmella & Billie Kay eliminates Naomi & Lana
Carmella & Billie Kay vs. The Riot Squad
Billie and Carmella continued their dominance and started decimating the Riot Squad. Billie kicked Rubby Riot out of the ring. The struggle for the victory continues untill Morgan hits Lana with a forward splash from the top rope and pinned her for the 1-2-3 counts to get them eliminated.
The Riot Squad eliminates Carmella & Billie Kay
The Riot Squad vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke toprope and connected Ruby Riot with a neck-breaker. The match was so intensed and ended in Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke being eliminated.

Riot Squad vs. Natalya & Tamina
Rubby Riot quickly pinned Natalya for the 2 counts as the match kicked off. Natalya and Tamina dominated the match by 70% and emmerged as the winner of the match.
Natalya & Tamina eliminates The riot Squad and will face Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at the Night 2 of WrestleMania.
Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins
Cesaro hits Rollins with a destructive uppercut when the match kicked off and he tried to swing him but Rollins repelled him. Cesaro dragged Rollins to the ring corner to deliver a superplex but Rollins maneuvered and hits Cesaro with a bucklebomb. Cesaro ignited and toperope to attack Rollins but Rollins countered and crushed Cesaro with a superplex right from the top rope.
Cesaro grabbed Rollins and swung him 9 times then connected him with his summission move . Rollins fired up and hits Cesaro with a splash from the top rope. Cesaro surprisingly recovered and connected Rollins with the Neutralizer and covered him for 2 and half counts. Cesaro wanted to deliver the second Neutralizer but Rollins maneuvered and hit him with the Pedigree then pinned him but Cesaro kicked out of 2 counts.
Cesaro hits Rollins with an uppercut when Rollins was about to deliver the Stomp. Cesaro then lifted him and swing him using his neck. He dragged Rollins leg and swing him 23 times before delivering the final Neutralizer to pick the win.

AJ Styles & Omos vs. The New Day
The match begins with Kofi and AJ Styles in the ring. Kofi took out AJ Styles with multiple dropkicks and tagged Xavier into the ring to continue to punish AJ Styles. The match continues and The New Day are still decimating AJ and preventing him from tagging Omos. AJ Styles fired up and finally tagged Omos into the ring.
Xavier made several attempts to take out Omos but his efforts was futile. Omos demonstrated high intensity of power and broke down the New Day with the backbreaker. Omos finally grabbed Kofi by the neck and visiously smashed him on the ring floor then placed his leg on him and the referee made the 3 counts.
AJ Styles & Omos def. The New Day to become the New Raw Tag Team Champion
Shane McMahon vs. Braun Strowman
Braun Strowman was attacked by Jaxson with a steel chair on his way into the ring around the ringside. Strowman finally entered the ring and Shane continued to attack him with the steel chair as the match kicks off. Braun recovered and connected Shane with a faceforce to the steel cage.
The match continues and Shane hits Strowman with a DDT and tried to escaped from the cage but Strowman got him and ruined his plan. The brawl continues and Strowman took his rivalry with Shane to the extreme by throwing him down from the top of the steel cage. Strowman connected him with the running powerslam thereafter and stood tall as the winner of the match.
Braun Strowman defeats Shane McMahon via pinfall.
Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. The Miz and John Morisson
The match kicked off and Bad Bunny surprised the whole WWE Universe with his outstanding performance in the ring. He decimated and embarrassed both The Miz and Morrison before the WWE audience.
The Miz eventually got hold of Bad Bunny with a kick to the face and drived him out of the ring. Morrison hit him with a faceforce on the announce table and dragged him into the ring. The Miz and Morisson took charge of the match and continued to inflict punishment on Bad Bunny.
Bad Bunny fired up and hit The Miz with a DDT then tagged Damian Priest into the ring. Priest choke slammed The Miz. Morisson and The Miz were shoved out of the ring and Damian Priest delivered a suicide dive on them outside the ring. The Miz and Morisson got up and Bad Bunny hit them again with a high dive from the ring. The brawl continues until Bad Bunny delivered a massive crossbody on The Miz from the tope rope and successfully covered him for the 3 counts.

SmackDown Women’s Championship match : Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair at the Main Event
This is an historic moments and the first time two black women will compete in the Main Event of WrestleMania. Both women couldn’t hide their emotions in before the match started.
The match kicks off and both women were performing amazing actions in the ring. Banks sent Bianca out of the ring and hits her with a punch around the apron. Sasha Banks attempted a suicide dive on Bianca outside the ring but Bianca held her and lifted her then threw her into the ring. Sasha used Bianca’s hair as a weapon and decimated her with it.
The Championship match continues, Sasha tried to used Bianca’s hair against hair again but Bianca maneuvered and took her out. The match got more intensed and Bianca toprope to deliver a 360 splash but the Legit Boss countered and Bianca was left broken. Sasha Banks hit Bianca with a brutal double-tonedo DDT from the top rope and convered her for 2 and half counts.
Sasha held Bianca with the Bank statement but Bianca found a way out and broke the lock. The struggle for the victory continues untill Bianca shocked the world and delivered the KOD to Sasha and pinned for the 3 counts.
Bianca Belair def. Sasha Banks via pinfall to become the New SmackDown Women’s Champion.
